Parking at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway and taking a shuttle bus ($3.00 round trip/person) to the air show is the quickest and easiest way of getting to the show.   Presently there is no public transportation that is being provided by Nellis AFB or the city of Las Vegas.

Where do I Park?

VIP - Invited Guests | Media | Military

General Public - Veterans - Handicapped:

  • General public parking is located off the installation at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
  • Visitors entering the Speedway via I-15 at Exit 54 will park in the Blue Parking Lot.
  • Visitors entering the Speedway via N. Las Vegas Blvd will be directed to park in one of two marked parking lots.
  • Handicapped will be directed to marked area - special needs busses will be provided for those who need them.
  • Veterans will park in general public area.

From The Las Vegas Strip, Pahrump and Southern California:
Take I-15 North to Exit 54 and park at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

From Southwest Las Vegas, Summerlin and Northwest Las Vegas (West of U.S. 95):
Take U.S. 95 North to the 215 Beltway.  Take the 215 Beltway east from U.S. 95 to I-15, and then take I-15 North to Exit 54 and park at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

From North Las Vegas (West of I-15) and Northwest Las Vegas (East of U.S. 95):
Take Lake Mead Boulevard, Cheyenne Avenue, or Craig Road to I-15 North, then take I-15 North to Exit 54 and Park at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

From North Las Vegas (East of I-15) and East Las Vegas:
Take Las Vegas Boulevard North or I-15 North to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway located at Exit 54.  Note: Limited parking is available at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway via Las Vegas Boulevard.

From Green Valley, Henderson, Boulder City:
Take U.S. 93/95 North to I-15 North OR Take I-215 to I-15 North.  Once on I-15, proceed North to Exit 54 and park at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

From Mesquite, St. George, Utah; Salt Lake City:
Take I-15 South to Exit 54 and park at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

From Indian Springs, Tonopah and Reno:
Take U.S. 95 South to the 215 Beltway. Take the 215 Beltway east from U.S. 95 to I-15, and then take I-15 North to Exit 54 and park at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Note: Limited parking is available at
the Speedway via Las Vegas Boulevard.

that people adhere to all instructions given to
them while entering or exiting parking areas.

Security Forces has the right to turn anyone away who fails to consent to a search

Distinguished Visitors Air Show VIPs and other Invited Guests:

  • Information on parking arrangements will be provided by hosting organization.
  • An Aviation Nation DV/VIP Parking Placard is required for guests granted permission to park on Nellis Air Force Base. The DV/VIP parking placard will also be the only way to access reserved parking lots
  • All DV/VIP vehicles are subject to search before being directed to a designated parking area.
Security Forces has the right to turn unaccounted-for vehicles and guests away

Media:

  • Parking information for credentialed media will be provided by Nellis Air Force Base Public Affairs.

Military affiliated personnel and Military-sponsored members:

Military Affiliated Personnel:

  • POVs driven by military members may enter Nellis through the Main and Nellis Blvd. Gates
  • Vehicles must have current a window decal, base pass, or air show placard to enter Nellis
  • In addition to decals and passes, military ID holders must present proper identification
All vehicles entering Nellis Air Force Base for the air show are subject to search
  • Guests may ride in military private vehicles, but must be accompanied by an ID card holder
  • Military vehicles without placards may only park in unmarked parking areas
  • No military/guest parking is allowed in reserved parking lots without proper credentials

Military Sponsored Vehicles:

  • In accordance with Nellis directives, base pass procedures will be followed during the air show
  • Military members will not be allowed to convoy unregistered vehicles onto Nellis AFB property
  • Vehicles without decals or base passes will be directed to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway

Unregistered vehicles may be sponsored
onto Nellis only under special circumstances

  • Every vehicle must have a Security Forces-issued base pass from the Nellis visitors’ center
  • The Sponsor/driver of each vehicle must apply in person for a base pass at the visitors’ center by Nov. 10
  • Drivers need to produce a license, registration or rental agreement and proof of insurance
  • Failure to produce any of these items will result in automatic denial of base pass privileges
  • Drivers entering without military sponsors must present two forms of ID with their base pass
  • All sponsored vehicles are subject to search before proceeding to an approved parking area
  • Sponsored vehicles without placards may only park in unmarked parking areas
  • No military/guest parking is allowed in reserved parking lots without proper credentials
